BTS member J-Hope. Photo from BigHit Music's X accountJ-Hope of K-pop supergroup BTS is set to be discharged from the military "soon," his label announced on Monday, reminding fans that no "special events" will be held for the occasion in order to prevent overcrowding.

"J-Hope is close to completing his active service in the army and will soon be discharged," label BigHit Music said in a notice on the fan community platform Weverse.

"No special events are planned on the day of J-Hope’s discharge. To prevent any issues arising from overcrowding, fans are strongly advised to refrain from visiting the site," it added.

However, the notice did not specify the exact date of discharge for the "On the Street" artist.

J-Hope, whose real name is Jung Ho-seok, will be the second of BTS' seven members to complete his mandatory military service, following Jin who was discharged in June.

BTS is anticipated to reunite as a seven-piece act after the remaining five members complete their military service, expected in 2025.
