It's been nearly a year since Julia Montes' "Doble Kara" concluded.

But eager fans of the actress will have to wait a few more weeks for her brand new series, "Asintado," to hit television.

And from the looks of the first teaser, it's going to an explosive ride with Montes going head-to-head with Shaina Magdayao in this drama about feuding sisters fighting over the man they love.

The short clip, aired on Wednesday, introduces the siblings, torn apart after a fire caused the death of their parents. Magdayao's character blames Montes for their ill fate and leaves their hometown.

They then meet again as adults, with a vindictive Magdayao ordering the death of Montes out of jealousy over Paulo Avelino's character. The clip concludes with Montes preparing her revenge after surviving a gunshot wound.

The series will debut sometime in January.
