MANILA—Filipino boy group SB19 took the honor of being the number 1 Googled male personality in the Philippines in 2019.

The 5-piece act, consisting of members Sejun, Stell, Ken, Josh, and Justin, is blazing a trail in the local music industry with its K-pop-influenced sound and choreography.

The group was followed by rising political star Vico Sotto, who toppled a decades-old rule of a political family in Pasig City during the 2019 midterm elections.

Joining Sotto in the list is fellow public servant, Manila Mayor Isko Moreno, at number 4.

Moreno emerged as a sensation after defeating one of the country’s most durable political figures, Joseph "Erap" Estrada, in the capital's mayoralty post.

Meanwhile, the only local actor who made the cut is Gerald Anderson, who was recently involved in a high-profile breakup with actress Bea Alonzo. He ranked third.

Bamboo Mañalac, a coach on ABS-CBN's "The Voice," and "Buwan" singer Juan Karlos Labajo were also among the most searched at number 7 and number 10, respectively.

Labajo, a former "The Voice Kids" contestant, made headlines in March after he was caught swearing in front of a large rock music festival crowd.

Google’s top 10 searches in the Philippines also include Internet sensation Dante Gulapa, popularly known for his "eagle dance" moves, and “It's Showtime” host Ion Perez, who recently admitted he's in a relationship with the "Unkabogable Star" Vice Ganda. They placed eighth and ninth, respectively.

Beauty guru James Charles (No. 5) and "Joker" actor Joaquin Phoenix (No. 6) were the only Hollywood personalities who made the list.
