MANILA—"Idol Philippines" emerged as the Philippines' most searched television show in 2019, tech giant Google said Thursday.

The Kapamilya singing competition, which ran from April to July, saw teen singer Zephanie Dimaranan taking the title.

Following "Idol Philippines" on Google's most searched list is GMA-7's reality-based artista search "StarStruck."

Appearing in people's search engines this year at number 4 is ABS-CBN's top-rating afternoon drama "Kadenang Ginto," which tells the lives of feuding Mondragon family members.

Korean series "Hotel del Luna" and "I Have a Lover" also drew interest, landing at number 3 and number 5, respectively.

Another Kapamilya singing competition, "The Voice Kids," also made the cut at number 7.

Meanwhile, HBO's fantasy drama "Game of Thrones," which came to an end in May after 8 seasons, and Netflix crime drama "Money Heist" ranked sixth and eight, respectively.

Closing the list are Japanese anime "One Punch Man" and the American Music Awards.
