They’ve denied having romantic ties, but Vice Ganda and Calvin Abueva are not shying away from sweet public gestures for each other.

The latest display of affection between the “Fantastica” star and Gilas Pilipinas player happened on Monday night, during a pageant in Pampanga which they both attended as guests.

Videos circulating among fans of Vice Ganda show the comedian on stage, apparently to help announce the winners, when Abueva approached him and handed him a bouquet of flowers, triggering shrieks from the audience.

Another clip shows Vice Ganda and Abueva seated beside each other in the audience during the pageant proper.

Vice Ganda, who is seen on live television daily via “It’s Showtime,” has made no secret of his happy disposition of late, with many fans and even his co-hosts teasing it’s because of Abueva.

While the two maintain they’re not romantically involved, they’ve described their relationship as “sweet friends,” with Vice Ganda most recently referring to Abueva as “my sunshine.”
