MANILA -- British-Norwegian boy band A1 returned to the Philippines for their much-anticipated “A1 Valentine’s Tour,” serenading Filipino fans with a nostalgic night of hits and heartfelt performances at the New Frontier Center in Quezon City.

The veteran band held a 2-day performance, featuring Ben Adams, Christian Ingebrigtsen, Mark Read, and Paul Marazzi, who delighted the crowd with a 19-song setlist.

The night kicked off with their opening song “Heaven by Your Side,” setting a romantic tone perfect for the Valentine's occasion.

The group also performed fan-favorite hits such as “Everytime,” “Like a Rose,” and “Forever in Love,” bringing back memories for longtime supporters.

The concert was a dream come true for fans who have followed A1 since their rise to fame in the late ’90s and early 2000s.

“I’m a ’90s baby, kaya naman gustong-gusto ko talaga 'yung A1. Talagang inabangan ko itong araw na ito para makapunta sa Valentine’s concert nila,” a fan named Maria Socorro La Luna said.

Meanwhile, younger fans were also eager to witness the iconic group live.

Marc Angelo Mallari, 24, shared his reason for attending: “I’m pretty sure I’m the only person in my circle watching this. I’m here because I want to expand my music discography and knowledge. This is just one of my attempts to widen my appreciation for music.”

The band’s music has also transcended generations, with 64-year-old Josephine Osorio traveling all the way from Bulacan to Quezon City just to see them live.

“Simula pa noong mga bata pa sila, sila na talaga ang pinakikinggan ko. Ilang beses na silang bumalik dito, talagang eager akong makita sila,” she shared.

“Timeless talaga ang music ng A1. Kita mo naman, 64 na ako pero nandito ako para manood. Bulacan pa ako, dinayo ko talaga sila," she added.

This visit marks A1’s latest stop in the country, following their “Twenty Five” concert tour in 2023. The Philippines has long been a special place for the group, having also performed in Manila in 2018.
