MANILA -- Daniel Padilla, eldest child of showbiz mom Karla Estrada, has seen his fair share of his mom's relationship woes through the years.

This is the reason why he is hesitant to give his approval of Estrada's current boyfriend, Jam Ignacio, the actor explained in an interview on "Tonight with Boy Abunda" this Friday.

"Lahat ng relationship ng ermat ko, nandoon ako. So lahat nakita ko, narinig ko. So siyempre bilang anak ka at nakita mo lahat, hindi siya kaagad, 'Ayos, okay na.' Ngayon iba na," he said.

Padilla said he appreciates Ignacio's effort to reach out him, how he feels like he is his mom's "number one security," and how happy his mom is at the moment.

"Masaya lang ako ngayon kasi she's very happy and I think she's in love and that's good," Padilla said.

It was only last June when Estrada and Ignacio met. Estrada, in an interview on "Magandang Buhay," explained that she fell for her boyfriend because of how upfront he was about his feelings.
