With her hated role as Jade in the primetime hit “Halik,” Yam Concepcion has delivered memorable lines of her own, particularly in confrontation scenes with Yen Santos’ Jacky.

A recent fan favorite goes: “Akala mo ang ganda-ganda mo? Dibdib lang ang meron ka. Pero ako, mula ulo hanggang paa, panlaban na.”

Past lines that have stuck with viewers are similarly from movies or series flavored with mistress drama. In an apparent homage to those who came before Jade, Concepcion re-enacted climactic scenes in small- and big-screen precurors of “Halik.”

The 30-year-old actress delivered both the mistress and wife lines in romance-dramas such as “No Other Woman,” “A Secret Affair,” “Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin,” and “The Mistress.”

Notably, she also channeled Monica of “The Legal Wife,” originally portrayed by Angel Locsin. That primetime series also starred Jericho Rosales, Concepcion’s leading man in “Halik.”
