MANILA (3rd UPDATE) – Isabel Granada, who shot to fame as a child and teen star in the 1980s, passed away Saturday night in Doha. She was 41.

Geryk Genasky Aguas, Granada’s former husband who spoke from Qatar where Granada was confined for more than a week, confirmed the news in a report on dzMM Sunday morning, Manila time.

The actress died at Hamad General Hospital in Doha, where she was rushed after she collapsed at a fan meet-and-greet in the same city on October 25.
