MANILA -- Singer-composer Ogie Alcasid is gearing up for a one-night-only concert next month ahead of his 30th year in the music industry.

Dubbed "Ogie Alcasid: The Soundtrack of My Life," the concert will be held at Resorts World Manila's Newport Performing Arts Theater on November 30.

Alcasid's wife Regine Velasquez, fresh from her two-night concert at the Mall of Asia Arena over the weekend, will guest in his show. Alcasid's kids Nate and Lila will also be part of the concert.

"It's going to be really wild. Siyempre the songs are romantic and emotional. There's going to be comedy, which a lot of young people like. And then, since nandiyan naman 'yung anak ko, there's music for the millennial also. So the while family can come. It's for everybody," Alcasid said.

In his upcoming concert, Alcasid will also pay tribute to his music idol Rico J. Puno.

"The first time I saw this man, I was mesmerized by him. I thought to myself, 'My goodness, who is this man who thinks that he's so pogi but he's not, but can sing like a black man.' It was revolutionary for me as a kid. And I was aping him when I was a boy," Alcasid shared.

"I really identified so much with his singing style, so much so that I'm actually dedicating an entire medley to him in the concert and hopefully he guests too. Exchange gift kasi nag-guest ako sa kanyang 40th anniversary show," he added.
