MANILA -- More details have emerged on the reconciliation of singer Zsa Zsa Padilla and architect Conrad Onglao.

In an article published on Sunday, Philippine Daily Inquirer's lifestyle editor Thelma Sioson San Juan reported that the reconciliation happened after Padilla and Onglao unexpectedly crossed paths at a Makati mall.

According to the article, the two decided to talk for hours -- something they were not able to do five months ago when they broke up.

San Juan added that it was after their long conversation that Padilla and Onglao decided to give their relationship another chance, but with more privacy this time around.

“We know that privacy is the luxury we want to enjoy,” Onglao told San Juan.

Padilla and Onglao were a couple for more than two years before splitting up.

Prior to Onglao, Padilla was the long-time partner of the late comedian Dolphy.

Onglao, on the other hand, was previously married to interior designer Ivy Almario, with whom he has two sons. They were divorced in the United States and obtained legal separation, and church annulment in the Philippines.

It was Karylle, the daughter of Padilla, who told reporters in May that her mother and Onglao decided to call it quits.

In a statement released weeks after the news broke, Onglao said that he loves and respects Padilla, and expressed hopes for a reconciliation. He went on to say that Padilla is the "best thing" that has ever happened to him.
