MANILA – British-Norwegian boy band A1 is back in the Philippines for their concerts in Manila and Cebu this month.

Ben Adams, Mark Read and Christian Ingebrigtsen arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport on Wednesday.

In an interview with entertainment reporters who welcomed them at the airport, Read said the three of them are very delighted to be back in the Philippines after four years.

“We are glad to be back and we are looking forward to our concert on Sunday. It’s going to be fantastic. Great to be back. It’s nice to see a few people have come to see us as well,” he said.

Asked what their fans could expect from their concerts, Ingebrigtsen said: “We are going to play the old hits, of course. We want it to be a sing-along and a reminiscing evening together with our fans. We are going to look back at all our great times together.”

But they are also going to play new music.

“There will be some new tracks that we’ve done that they may not be familiar with, but we’ll basically going to be mixing it up. We might even pop in a few dance routines that we haven’t done in many years just for fun and to show that we are still young and we still got it,” said Adams.

A1 was first formed in 1998. The group, originally a quartet until ex-member Paul Marazzi left, is known for hits like "Like a Rose," "Everytime," "Caught in the Middle," "Same Old Brand New You," and "Heaven by Your Side."

A1 will perform at the Kia Theater in Quezon City on October 23, and at the IEC Pavilion in Cebu City on October 25.
