MANILA - Isabelle Daza on Friday admitted that "in a way", she was afraid to get married, because of the effect it may have on her career.

"In a way, yes [I was scared], because people and society are always dictating that when you get married, your career goes down," she said in an interview on ANC's Headstart.

However, she said that she got over her fear because she wanted to see her wedding as empowering, instead of giving in to negativity.

Daza tied the knot with fiance Adrien Semblat in a ceremony held at a Gothic-style church in Italy in September.
