MANILA -- Albie Casiño is not planning on settling down anytime soon with his girlfriend, model Michelle Arceo.

In an interview on Monday after a press conference for the movie "First Love," Casiño said he would want to secure the future of his parents first.

"Kailangan ko munang yumaman. I need to make sure that my parents are taken care of first before I can think about getting married," the actor explained.

The actor also stressed that they are both young to talk about getting married. "She's a lot younger than me. She turned 21 last November. I am 25," he said.

"Ang parang with me, as a person, I don't like to look too much into the future. Parang I'm more of concentrating on what's happening right now. Because sometimes when you look too much into the future, you forget to live in the present," he added.

Right now, Casiño said he is happy keeping his love life private.

"Hindi ko na uulitin na mag-girlfriend ng showbiz. Mas okay talaga 'yung non-showbiz para sa akin," said Casiño who was previously in a relationship with Andi Eigenmann.

Asked if this was a reaction to that, the actor said: "Hindi ko alam. Parang nangyari 'yung trauma na 'yon, sobrang bata ko pa. So, parang ngayon, baka kaya siya nag-contribute kung bakit ako ganito ngayon, kung bakit ayaw kong i-publicize 'yung love life ko. Pero hindi ko rin malalaman. For me as a person, ayaw ko lang siyang i-publicize."
