MANILA -- Actor Luis Alandy is grateful to ABS-CBN for giving him a lead role in the new series "Kadenang Ginto."

On Instagram, Alandy shared that the last time he played a lead character in the Kapamilya network was with Claudine Barretto in the series "Sa Dulo Ng Walang Hanggan," which premiered in 2001.

"I was just starting then. I've made a lot of bad decisions and had some failures in my career, but I kept working on my craft and improving on my weaknesses. I kept my focus in not becoming a star, but be true to my chosen career. I never stopped believing that one day, I will be given an opportunity again to showcase what I have learned in my 21-year career," he said.

"I took me 16 years to be a part of something this big and golden, and I am just very thankful to God and to everyone who believed in me in this journey," added the actor, who is now known as Adrian Alandy.

"One thing that I have learned is that you keep believing in yourself, always stay hungry to learn, and have a good attitude and be always professional. Be patient, your time will come."

Alandy will be playing the character of Carlos Bartolome in "Kadenang Ginto," which will premiere on Monday (October 8) after "It's Showtime."

The other lead stars of the series include Andrea Brillantes, Francine Diaz, Beauty Gonzalez, Dimples Romana, and Albert Martinez.
