There was a split second when he paused, probably thinking if he should answer the question on whether he tried to win back actress Jodi Sta. Maria after they broke up in July.

Only Jolo Revilla will know what stopped him during his interview on "Tonight with Boy Abunda" Tuesday as he said, smiling: "Siguro [ay] sa amin na lang iyon."

He did admit that he still loves her ("Yes, I still do love her"), and that he remains grateful for the eight years they spent together.

"Wala naman akong masasabing masama sa kanya kasi nagmahalan naman kami talaga. 8 years is 8 years," he said.

He also shared that the biggest lesson he learned from Sta. Maria was on how to be a better parent to his son, Gab.

"Mas naging responsableng ama ako sa anak ko. Tinuruan niya ako na porket busy ka sa trabaho eh aalisan mo na ng oras iyong anak mo. Kailangan 100% pa rin iyong ibibigay mo sa kanya."

He was on the late night talk show to promote "Tres," a three-part action movie that also stars his brothers Bryan and Luigi Revilla.
