Andi Eigenmann has revealed that she has quit showbiz to focus on her daughter, Ellie.

The actress opened up about her decision as she responded to a follower on Instagram who accused her of being a snob and told her to "eat some humble pie" amid her supposed fading popularity.

"How can you even say that if you have no idea who I even am?" an irritated Eigenmann said in reply. "If I wanted the life I had in the past, I wouldn't have left showbiz. So go figure."

She added that she wants to be a full-time mother to Ellie, who is five years old, and that she's looking to live as far away from the limelight as possible.

"But me wanting to be a full time mom and to live my life sooo far away from the spotlight (away from the city, even), doesn't also result to your accusations being anywhere true," she explained.

"FYI, FAME IS NOT THE SOLUTION. And it pains me to [see] that there are people like you who think that this is something I should even be be sad about.

"I left because I was not happy."

She finished her lengthy reply by saying that she wouldn't trade away her simple life now for anything.

"SO DON'T ASSUME [and] DON'T SPEAK IN BEHALF OF OTHERS BECAUSE YOU DO NOT KNOW OUR STORY."

Eigenmann was last seen in the drama, "The Greatest Love," in which she played the daughter of an Alzheimer's stricken mother.

Since then, she has been actively sharing on Instagram photos of her travels with Ellie and her boyfriend, Emilio Arambulo.
