JM de Guzman and Barbie Imperial, who portray lovers in the drama series “Araw Gabi,” revealed during the ABS-CBN Ball Saturday that their roles have spilled over to real life.

The onscreen partners spoke with reporters shortly before they walked the red carpet together at the charity event.

“Hindi ko naman dini-deny ‘yun,” de Guzman said, when asked for his reaction to fans observing that their chemistry on camera appear rooted from their actual relationship.

“Siyempre, when you’re into the role din, attractive ang partner mo, mahirap… Hindi ko rin naman sinasabing nandu’n na,” he added.

Imperial was more direct with her response to the same question, as she noted the length of time they’ve worked together. “Araw Gabi,” their first project together, debuted in April 2018.

“Matagal na rin naman kaming magkasama, so medyo close na kami, medyo totoo na. Masaya kami,” she said.

De Guzman couldn’t give a categorical answer when asked if he is courting Imperial, only saying, “We’re enjoying each other’s company the best way we can.”
