“I remember the video coming out on television, and how different [the song] was,” she said after her performance. “And then many, many years later, on YouTube, I caught a version similar to this one with the lead singer not having lost anything from his vocals. I definitely got inspiration from that acoustic version, and it was just so beautiful.”
