MANILA -- Kapamilya star Piolo Pascual confirmed that he will be attending the much-awaited ABS-CBN Ball this weekend.

But in an interview on Monday after the media launch of his endorsement, MEGA Sardines, Pascual said he will hit the red carpet alone.

"Mahirap eh. So many things have been said and done. So, I will just you know, even for myself, I will just go there. And I've always gone alone, my son is there. Let's see what happens," Pascual said.

Asked if he invited Shaina Magdayao to be his ball date, Pascual said: "I haven't spoken to her you know. It's been overplayed through the years and I don't want to cause more trouble. But you will see."

Pascual and Magdayao made headlines when they became intimate while dancing at the Star Magic Ball in 2016.

The ABS-CBN Ball will happen this Saturday, September 29.
