MANILA – Elisse Joson does not mind working with her former boyfriend, actor Jerome Ponce, in the upcoming ABS-CBN series “The Good Son.”

Speaking to PEP at the sidelines of the digital conference for the show, Joson acknowledged that it is inevitable for them to work together because the showbiz industry is small.

“After a while, sabi ko po sa sarili ko, since nandito kami sa isang industriya, talagang magko-cross yung paths namin no matter what. Ni-ready ko na po yung sarili ko. Wala namang masama so okay naman,” she said.

Although they haven’t had a scene together yet, Joson said she and Ponce maintain a professional relationship.

“Hindi pa kami dumadating sa eksena na kaming dalawa na talaga yung magkaharap. Wala pa po. Pero sa set, okay naman po, casual and we smile at each other. Magkahiwalay po kasi yung tent ng babae at lalaki so never nagkaroon ng chance mag-bonding or mag-usap,” she said.

Currently, Joson is romantically linked to McCoy de Leon, while Ponce is in a relationship with volleyball star Mika Reyes.

Aside from Joson, de Leon and Ponce, "The Good Son" also stars Joshua Garcia, Loisa Andalio, Nash Aguas and Alexa Ilacad.

It will premiere on September 25, replacing "A Love To Last," which will air its finale on September 22.
