It was a mix of joy and shock, explained Bugoy Drilon as he talked about why he was in tears after finding out that his ex-girlfriend, fellow singer Liezl Garcia, is now engaged.

Drilon said that he could not believe it at first because Garcia and her fiance, online vlogger Justin Eagle, only met in person for a week prior to getting engaged.

"Shocked po ako kasi they've been together for two years, but one week pa lang po sila nag-meet in person," admitted Drilon, during his interview on "Tonight with Boy Abunda" this Tuesday.

He also shared that Garcia and Eagle met through him. He was friends with Eagle on Instagram, who then asked him if he could follow Garcia on the photo-sharing site. He said yes.

Drilon, who was in a a relationship with Garcia for two years before breaking up, clarified that his tears were that of joy.

"Because I'm happy for her. Iyong happiness ko po para sa kanya [Garcia], iba po," he maintained.

Drilon was on the late night talk show to promote his upcoming concert, "One Day, One Decade", scheduled on September 25 at the Kia Theater in Cubao. It is his first-ever solo concert.
