MANILA -- "Amin 'to; amin 'to. Bayan namin 'to."

These words summarize the dramatic opening of ABS-CBN's newest drama series "Magpahanggang Wakas" that premiered on Monday night.

The first gap of the episode featured the courage and bravery of Pinoy fishermen who had a violent encounter with big Chinese ship.

This, while they were fishing on the disputed West Philippine Sea.

Despite being in a high-risk situation, some of the fishermen bravely faced the Chinese coastguard, who used water cannons to drive them away.

"Hindi kami aalis! Amin! Amin ang Scarborough!" one of the fishermen yelled as he bravely stood in front of their boat.

But although they were willing to face the Chinese, the captain of the fishing boat decided to surrender. They did not have any weapon to fight back.

All they have is the courage to fight for what belongs to their country.

For many, it is just one of the dramatic scenes in movies and Tv series. But this is also something that happens in real life.

Netizens took to Twitter to air their positive feedback on the pilot episode of the new series. Many praised ABS-CBN for giving the spotlight to the unspoken heroes of the Philippine seas.

But beyond the positive feedback, the episode left a strong message to Filipinos.

"Ang atin ay atin!"
