MANILA -- The much-awaited "KathNiel" movie has finally premiered, and fans are going crazy about it.

Star Cinema on Wednesday night announced that "Barcelona: A Love Untold" earned a whooping P23 million on its first day at the cinemas.

Starring Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo, the movie premiered on SM Megamall on Tuesday night.

Dubbed as KathNiel's most mature project ever, the movie features the first on-screen kiss of Padilla and Bernardo.

This kiss, of course, has brought much excitement to fans who set Twitter ablaze with the hashtag #BARCELONANowShowing.
