Antoinette Jadaone, the director, revealed on Thursday that her original script had a scene where Barretto and Garcia, as their doe-eyed characters, cap off their palpable chemistry by locking lips.

In the movie, Barretto plays Mika, a girl who believes in aliens and is on a journey to have herself abducted after her mother died. She then meets by chance Caloy (Garcia), whom she falls in love with. She later on discovers that Caloy has cancer.

According to Jadaone, who helmed the cult favorite road trip love story "That Thing Called Tadhana," removing the kiss scene was a compromise she had to make but quickly added that she's still happy with how her new movie turned out.

Jadaone refused to reveal when in the movie the kissing scene fits, but said that if she could release a book about her film, she would want it to include her original script.

Also in the blog conference, Jadaone was full of praise for Barretto and Garcia, who have only been paired with each other in "Vince & Kath & James" and for an episode of "Maalaala Mo Kaya," prior to this movie.
