2023 Asia Artist Awards in the Philippines: Hosts, lineup, tickets

MANILA (UPDATE) — For the first time since its launch in 2016, the Asia Artist Awards (AAA) will be held in the Philippines, with some of the biggest names in K-pop and K-drama set to fly to the country for the ceremony.

The Philippine Arena in Bulacan, touted as one of the world's largest indoor arena with a seating capacity of 55,000, will serve as venue for the award show on December 14.

The AAA recognizes outstanding achievements in music, television and film industry. This year's edition will be co-produced by media outlet StarNews Korea, TONZ Entertainment, and local promoter PULP Live World.

Since the announcement of the Philippines' hosting in late August, local Hallyu fans have been eager to find out which celebrities are gracing the star-studded event.

StarNews Korea has reported that K-pop soloist Kang Daniel, Jang Wonyoung of girl group IVE, and Sung Hanbin of boy band ZEROBASEONE will host the event.

Notably, the 2023 edition marks Wonyoung's third consecutive year of hosting the AAA. Meanwhile, Kang Daniel has also experienced hosting through the dance competition program "Street Woman Fighter" and its related shows, while Hanbin is currently a presenter of the Korean music program "M Countdown."

The following Korean music acts have been confirmed as part of the lineup:

Japanese boy group &TEAM and girl group Sakurazaka46, and Chinese singer Yao Chen will also be present at the ceremony.

P-pop sensation SB19, South Korea-based Filipino group HORI7ON, and indie folk band Ben&Ben will represent the country in the event.

Filipino celebrities Kathryn Bernardo, Daniel Padilla and Melai Cantiveros, and Japanese actor Kentaro Sakaguchi have also been confirmed to attend.

Tickets, priced from P3,000 to P25,000, will go on sale beginning November 12 through PULP Tickets' website. There will also be a presale for Metrobank credit cardholders on November 10.
