It was a night full of revelations as Carlo Aquino and Angelica Panganiban answered questions from the press during the media launch of “Exes Baggage,” their reunion film about two strangers who meet with lessons learned from their past relationships.

Themselves a former couple, Aquino and Panganiban said they are aware of long-time fans who root for them to get back together. While they expressed appreciation for the support for their tandem — and real-life relationship — Panganiban maintained, “Mas magandang hindi magpadala.”

“Mangyayari kung ano ang dapat mangyari. Kung naaayon lahat, mangyayari ‘yun,” Aquino added, noting that they continue to enjoy each other’s company as friends.

Panganiban also admitted, for the first time, that she and Aquino went through two breakups, saying there was at least a year-long gap between the first time they parted ways and when they rekindled their relationship.

Nowadays, the co-stars remain good friends. Their physical affection and sweet messages to each other, however, have fueled speculation that they are on their way to taking a third chance at love.

Sought for a straight answer, as to whether he is courting Panganiban anew, Aquino said, “Hindi, hindi ako nanliligaw.”

Known for her candid and no-filter answers, Panganiban had members of the press laughing with her playful comeback. “Ouch,” she protested, prompting Aquino to lean in for a hug.
