MANILA - Basketball star James Yap has aired frustrations over the lack of time with his son Bimby.

In an interview with radio station DZRH, Yap, as quoted by Pep, said that he only wants Bimby to know that he has a baby brother. Earlier in the week, Yap and his Italian girlfriend, Michela Cazzola, welcomed their first child.

Why not, 'di ba? Mabuting makita niya ang baby brother niya," he said.

Yap, however, admitted that he has yet to speak with former wife Kris Aquino about the matter, citing lack of "time" and "chances."

"Mahirap eh. So, wala. Honestly, parang ano… gumive-up na rin ako. Kasi sobrang, parang walang napapatunguhan eh.

Instead, Yap said that his focus, at the moment, will remain on his newborn son, Michael James. Clearly excited about becoming a father anew, he described himself and Cazzola as "hands-on" parents.
