MANILA – Kim Chiu on Sunday thanked her “The Voice Kids” family for giving her the opportunity to host the popular singing contest for a full season.

In an Instagram post, Chiu, who is more known as an actress, said the talent show boosted her interest in hosting as this was just the first time that she was given such a job.

“Di pala biro maging host ng contest. Iba siya, lalo na 'pag live shows and grand finals. 'Yung kaba ko abot hangang talampakan lagi, grabe! May mga high pitch ng boses na 'di ko mapigilan sa excitement and kaba, kaya saludo ako sa inyo,” she wrote in the caption.

Chiu also thanked her co-hosts Luis Manzano and Robi Domingo for guiding her throughout the season.

Meanwhile, in an interview with ABS-CBN News ahead of the finale, Chiu said she will miss her bonding moments with Manzano and Domingo, as well as her unscripted conversations with the kids.

“Mahilig kasi ako sa mga bata. Walang script 'yung mga ginagawa namin. Natural lang, enjoy lang kami,” she said. “Mami-miss ko 'yung humarap sa camera na nagho-host kasi iba siya.”

Asked if she is willing to return as a host in the next season of “The Voice Kids,” she said: “Oo naman, I enjoy hosting sobra. Iba naman siya sa acting.”

Now that “The Voice Kids” is over, Chiu said she will start working on a new movie soon, although she refused to divulge details on who her co-stars will be.
