Did you know that as a child, Kapamilya actress and singer Jolina Magdangal never dreamed of entering showbiz?

Pero ‘pag 'yung ako lang mag-isa, 'yan nagpe-perform ako sa harap ng salamin," she said in an episode of Jeepney TV Show Bits which has been posted on YouTube.

It was her father who convinced the young Jolina to audition for Ryan Cayabyab’s 14K and another choir. Several weeks later, she found out she passed both.

She eventually chose to join 14K -- and the rest, as the cliche goes, is history.

After spending most of her life in the entertainment industry, Magdangal said she has no regrets even if the road was not easy.

Wala ni isa,” she said.

Masaya, matamis, mapait, mapakla. So lahat yun, thankful ako,” she added.

Asked about the memes of her colorful fashion style during the '90s which have been making the rounds in social media, the "Magandang Buhay" host said: “Throwback pa rin 'yan.

But more than that, Magdangal wanted to be remembered as a good wife and mother to husband musician Mark Escueta and their son Pele.

“Gusto ko maalala nila ako as mabuting tao 'yan, mabuting anak 'yan kaya naging ganyan siya at ngayon isa na siyang mabuting nanay,” she said.
