MANILA - Antonio Sabalza, dubbed the "Super Lolo ng Luzon," is moving on the semifinals of "Tawag ng Tanghalan" after leaving the judges swooning over his cover of the timeless love song, "When I Fall In Love."

The 64-year-old Sabalza received an average score of 94.4 percent, defeating daily winner Zekiah Jane Miller by more than four points. Miller sang The Carpenters' "Love Me For What I Am."

"Tutuloy pa hanggang matalo ako," the Angono native said when asked if he would like to return to the "It's Showtime" stage on Friday and try to add to his winnings of P135,000, or if he would prefer to rest his voice for the next round.

According to Sabalza, he joined the amateur singing contest because he wants to help his wife, who needs surgery on a broken thigh bone.
