If he had to describe how he came to work with young singer Unique Salonga, the former vocalist of IV of Spades, Kean Cipriano said it was because it was "love at first sight."
Cipriano recalled in an interview on "Tonight With Boy Abunda" on Wednesday being blown away when he first watched Salonga and his band perform.
He saw his opportunity to manage him when Salonga decided it was best to go solo and leave IV of Spades.
Asked if there was any awkwardness because Cipriano used to also manage IV of Spades before he had to "disengage with them," the Callalily frontman said that everything had been decided "mutually."
Even Salonga said that his leaving IV of Spades was also a mutual decision, though he said he is not in speaking terms with his former band members.
