Aside from the high-profile participation of Kris Aquino in "Crazy Rich Asians" -- at least to the Filipino audience -- another actress familiar to Kapamilya viewers also appears in the Hollywood film about navigating the world of Asia's ultra-rich.

Malaysian actress Carmen Soo, who starred opposite Jericho Rosales in the primetime teleserye "Kahit Isang Saglit" in 2008, took to Instagram Wednesday to share a series of behind-the-scenes photos of "Crazy Rich Asians," in time for the film's premiere.

Soo, 40, also attended the star-studded event in Hollywood, California.

In her Instagram posts, Soo is seen posing with "Crazy Rich Asians" cast members, notably lead stars Constance Wu and Henry Golding. Wu portrays Rachel, who discovers her boyfriend, Nick (Golding), belongs to the richest of the rich of Singapore just before their wedding.

Soo did not specify her character, but IMDb's comprehensive cast listing reveals she portrays Francesca Shaw in the film. In the Kevin Kwan book, from which the Warner Bros. production was adapted, Francesca is described as the vain, snobbish, and socialite ex-girlfriend of Nick, who dislikes Rachel. She's also the heiress of her family's company, Shaw Foods.
