In the end, Judy Ann Santos will remember her beloved talent manager and pioneering showbiz columnist, Alfie Lorenzo, for one of his more unflattering traits.

"Mami-miss ko yung mga talak niya sa akin, iyong mga pagmumura niya, cariño brutal siya sa 'kin!" Santos said in an interview with reporters, shortly after a mass was held at the wake of Lorenzo at Arlington Memorial Chapels in Quezon City.

News of Lorenzo's death first broke early hours on Tuesday, prompting an outpouring of grief from showbiz luminaries such as Santos, a former ward of his, who volunteered to take care of his funeral arrangements.

Lorenzo died of heart failure. Santos said Lorenzo had a mild heart attack more than week ago.

Her career was handled by Lorenzo before she confirmed this April that they amicably parted ways.

She said there was no bad blood left between them, even with Lorenzo publicly admitting that he felt disappointed that she left him.

"Normal lang na may tampuhan," she reasoned. "Pero I'm at peace kasi nagka-ayos kami before he died. Ibinulong ko I forgive you, I'm sorry also."

In April, Santos described the decision to part ways with Lorenzo as "personal," and declined to elaborate on what she meant.

"Nagpaalam ako nang maayos kasi malaki ang utang na loob ko kay Tito Alfie. At iyong utang na loob na iyon, hindi iyon mapapalitan ng kahit na anong halaga," she said at the time.
