MANILA -- Xander Ford has been placed on leave by his talent agency while the investigation into physical abuse and sexual assault claims of his ex-girlfriend is ongoing.
Ford is facing accusations of rape from a woman he used to date, who shared pictures of the bruises she allegedly received from the social media personality in a now-deleted Facebook post.
Ford dismissed the allegations, but asked the woman if they could settle things privately.
In a statement released this Wednesday, Ford's agency, Star Image Artist Management, revealed that the woman has decided to take her case to a court, and said that it has placed Ford under "indefinite suspension" until he is clear of any criminal liability.
Star Image also clarified that the suspension had nothing to do with Ford's shock admission to come out as a bisexual.
It was earlier in the month when Ford made headlines for the rape allegations -- the latest controversy to hound his already beleaguered career in showbiz. A week later, he again became the subject of reports, this time for identifying as bisexual.
