MANILA — A day before her cryptic message on Instagram sparked rumors of infidelity in her relationship, Bea Alonzo was asked about plans to mark her third anniversary with her known boyfriend Gerald Anderson.

Alonzo had just finished a story conference for her upcoming Star Cinema film when she spoke with reporters Saturday about the project, and other topics.

Among them was her relationship with Anderson, which had been the subject of speculation in the last month after the actor was linked to the breakup of Julia Barretto and Joshua Garcia, their fellow Star Magic talents.

Anderson was Barretto’s first-time leading man in the romance film “Between Maybes,” released last May.

Barretto and Anderson, in separate interviews, denied his involvement in the separation of “JoshLia.”

Barretto and Garcia cleared Anderson’s name in a joint interview in late June, with Garcia even referring to the older actor as his “Kuya.” Anderson, meanwhile, shrugged off the rumor in late July, only saying he’s “used to” intrigues that come with his job.

Alonzo’s interview on Saturday was her first on camera since the rumor erupted.

Alonzo appeared cheerful on the topics of her upcoming film with Angelica Panganiban and Richard Gutierrez, as well as her reunion project with John Lloyd Cruz.

The actress, however, had a noticeable shift in demeanor when asked about Anderson, specifically whether they had plans for their third anniversary as a couple.

“Wala... At saka may gagawin ako,” Alonzo said, just before the interview ended. (See the 4:44 mark in the video below.)
