MANILA — Gretchen Barretto, Angelica Panganiban, and Kris Aquino were among the celebrities who expressed support for Bea Alonzo following her cryptic Instagram post that sparked over the weekend rumors of infidelity in her relationship.

“Enough,” Alonzo wrote in uppercase, as she quoted a line — “You can’t make the same mistake twice, the second time you make it, it’s not a mistake anymore, it’s a choice” — to caption a completely black image.

Alonzo’s Instagram activities, specifically her streak of liking posts pertaining to her known boyfriend Gerald Anderson and Alonzo’s former “A Love to Last” co-star Julia Barretto, were taken as clues by fans as to the context of her mysterious message.

While Alonzo provided no further statement in her original post, friends from the industry showered the actress with comforting words.

Panganiban, her “Maging Sino Ka Man” co-star, left heart emojis, while Aquino, who frequently had Alonzo as a guest in her defunct talk show, told the latter: “I had to check on you. Thank you for replying. I’m your Ate for life who will always love you and care about you.”

A comment which stood out for some followers was from Gretchen Barretto, who portrayed Alonzo’s sister in the 2010 series “Magkaribal” and an aunt of Julia Barretto. “I love you my dearest one,” Gretchen told Alonzo.

Gretchen is known to be estranged from Julia’s mother, Marjorie Barretto.

Actress Loisa Andalio was also among those who expressed her “love” for Alonzo. Andalio is a former “Pinoy Big Brother” housemate who was for a time paired onscreen with Joshua Garcia, Julia’s “love team” partner from whom she recently separated in real life.

Since her post on Sunday, Alonzo has kept mum on social media and has yet to release a statement. As of writing, the names of Alonzo, Anderson, Julia Barretto, and Garcia remained among the trending topics on Twitter, with fans speculating as to the real score among the four Star Magic talents.
