A family court in South Korea approved on Monday a divorce settlement for celebrity couple Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo, news agency Yonhap reported.

The settlement comes a month after Joong Ki's lawyer revealed the 33-year-old actor filed for divorce from the 37-year-old actress at the Seoul Family Court.

The court held a closed-door hearing over the divorce for the couple but did not provide details, according to Yonhap.

In a statement, Hye Kyo's agency, United Artists Agency, said under the divorce arrangement, there will be no division of property or settlement money.

Hye Kyo, through her agency, earlier said the reason for the divorce was "differences in personality."

Joong Ki and Hye Kyo, who tied the knot in October 2017, played lovers in "Descendants of the Sun," a television drama that took Asia by storm in 2016.
