It's quickly becoming a tradition for AsiaPOP Comicon Manila to host big panel presentations from Marvel and Netflix.
And while those two are no doubt enough to whet the appetite of fans, judging from the massive turnout, organizers are going even bigger this year with the introduction of a new Disney-centric Hall.
Just hours after confirming the return of Marvel's Hall M, AsiaPOP announced Hall D, which promises to show special previews of the upcoming offerings from Walt Disney Studios.
That includes possible sneak peeks of Star Wars, Marvel, and Pixar titles, as seen in the teaser image.
Award-winning animator Mark Henn, who has worked in several Disney classics such as "Mulan," "The Lion King," and "The Little Mermaid," is the panel's special guest.
This was the second surprise AsiaPOP had in store for Filipino fans this Tuesday night, following the confirmation that Marvel's Hall M is returning for its third straight year.
Last time around, the highly exclusive panel, that had limited seats, showed footage from "Thor: Ragnarok" and "Black Panther," as well as from its TV show 'The Punisher."
There's no word yet on what fans can expect this year, especially if one were to consider the events of "Avengers: Infinity War" and the fact that "Captain Marvel," the next movie in the MCU pipeline, isn't due until March next year.
The Netflix panel was announced last week, and it will feature "Luke Cage" star Mike Colter joining his "The Defenders" buddy, Finn Jones of "Iron Fist," for a talk with fans.
Tye Sheridan, who starred in "Ready Player One," is the other big Hollywood guest of this year's AsiaPOP.
More details, including ticket prices, can be found on the event's website. There's no timetable for the panels as of writing.
