MANILA — In the latest hint of their real-life romance, Vice Ganda and Ion Perez gathered their respective families in one room, going by photos that circulated Monday among fans of the rumored couple.

On Twitter, snaps of Vice Ganda with his mother Rosario Viceral, along with Perez’s own extended family made the rounds among fan pages dedicated to “ViceIon.”

They were taken from a Facebook post of a certain Dianne W. Perez on Monday afternoon. The album was captioned: “Family with Vice Ganda.”

Perez, who hails from Concepcion, Tarlac, is the 11th of 15 siblings. His late father was a jeepney driver, while his mother worked for a time as a kakanin vendor, Perez said in a March interview.

The family gathering on Monday is not the first time Vice Ganda and Perez met each other’s family members.

As early as November 2018, Perez introduced his mother, Zeny, to the comedy superstar when the older Perez visited the “It’s Showtime” studio.

A similar meeting happened in March 2019, when Mrs. Viceral and Vice Ganda’s sister, Emma, were among the audience members of the noontime program.

At the time, Perez playfully asked the Viceral women for permission to have a place in Vice Ganda’s heart. “Humihingi po ako ng permiso — puwede ba ako sa puso niya?” he said.

Two months later, in May, Perez was photographed with Vice Ganda’s family, including Mrs. Viceral, during a vacation in Canada.

While speculation surrounding their status has swirled for months, Vice Ganda and Perez have yet to confirm being officially a couple. They are, however, the constant target of teasing on “It’s Showtime,” where their playful interactions started in September 2018.
