MANILA — Filipino fans of Yook Sungjae were in for a treat during the Korean singer-actor's fan meet in Manila on Friday as he serenaded them with his rendition of "Beautiful," a song from the popular drama "Goblin."

Sungjae took his fans to a trip down the "Goblin" memory lane when he performed "Beautiful," which was originally sung for the drama by Korean R&B singer Crush.

Sungjae was among the cast of the 2016 drama, portraying Deokhwa (or Derrick in the local dub), the rebellious conglomerate heir who was given the responsibility of taking care of Gong Yoo's Goblin character.

Fans were also amused when the 23-year old spoke in Tagalog and Bisaya.

Sungjae debuted in 2012 as vocalist of the boy band BtoB.

He is also set to serve as a special mentor in the local web series "Hello K-Idol," which will pit Filipino aspirants for a chance to win a scholarship under a prestigious talent school in Korea.
