MANILA -- Recording artist Angelina Cruz, the eldest daughter of actress Sunshine Cruz, is set to try her hand at acting as she signed a contract with ABS-CBN Films on Thursday.

"It feels amazing and knowing na my mom is also part of ABS-CBN. It feels great to be at the same company," Cruz told ABS-CBN News.

"I'm open to a lot of opportunities, so having this handed to me, I'm really grateful for that," she added.

Cruz will have her first acting project via the upcoming movie "One Friend" with Bryce Ramos.

Aside from Cruz, other young talents who inked deals with ABS-CBN Films include Ramos, Jameson Blake, Kit Thompson, and Alyssa Muhlach.

Present at the contract signing were ABS-CBN Films executives led by managing director Olivia Lamasan.

Muhlach, who competed at the Reina Hispanoamericana pageant last year, is looking forward to doing a romantic-comedy film.

She would like to work with her relatives in the Muhlach showbiz clan if given a chance.

"Ang haba ng listahan ko kung sino ang gusto kong maka-work, pero parte na roon ang family ko -- my Tito Aga, my Tito Niño, my Tita Arlene. Kung ano pong project na included sila at 'yung mga magagaling na artista talaga," she said.

Thompson, who just starred in the digital movie "Momol Nights," also expressed his excitement as he inked three projects with ABS-CBN Films.

"It feels good. I feel grateful na part na ako ng family and I feel excited to work," he said.

Blake, who is part of the much-anticipated Star Cinema movie "Hello, Love, Goodbye" with Kathryn Bernardo and Alden Richards, for his part said he can't believe that he has signed a contract with ABS-CBN Films.

"I was shocked. I couldn't believe it... So I'm really looking forward to what's going to happen in the future, for the upcoming projects. So, it's pretty exciting," he said.

When asked about his dream role, Blake replied: "I want to be like this top agent -- high-class, like CIA, high-authority kind of role... I want to play like a hero in a country. Something that has to do with a country. So maybe in the future, hopefully mayroon."
