MANILA -- Hollywood actor Mike Colter, best known for portraying the bulletproof title character in the Marvel and Netflix series "Luke Cage," is coming to Manila this month.

He will be joining his "The Defenders" buddy and fellow superhero, Finn Jones, the star of "Iron Fist," for the Netflix panel at this year's AsiaPOP Comicon Manila, it was confirmed Thursday.

The showcase will also include appearances from "Luke Cage" showrunner Cheo Hodari Coker, Mustafa Shakir, who plays the villain Bushmaster, and "Iron Fist" producer Raven Metzner.

There will also be sneak peeks of future Netflix releases and special screenings, in addition to a behind-the-scenes look at the upcoming anime originals "Castlevania" and "Godzilla: Planet of the Monsters."

An immersive booth, similar to the one staged last year, will also be prepared, where fans can get to see life-size replicas of sets from their favorite shows like "Riverdale" and "Stranger Things."

Colter is the latest celebrity guest to be announced for this year's AsiaPOP Comicon Manila.

AsiaPOP Comicon Manila will be held at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City from July 27 and 29.
