MANILA -- A young singer who has long been joining singing contests has added another feather to his cap as he earned a slot in the live shows of "The Voice Teens."

Ivan Navares impressed his coach, Sarah Geronimo with his performance of James Ingram's "There's No Easy Way."

He went against Tanya Dawood, who performed "I Who Have Nothing" and Gia Toscah, who performed "Ex's and Oh's."

Geronimo, who had a hard time picking between the three contestants, decided to bring Navares with her to the live shows.

Aside from Navares, Nisha Bedana and Jona Soquite will also be performing in the live shows as part of Team Sarah.

Hosted by Luis Manzano and Toni Gonzaga, "The Voice Teens" airs Saturdays after "Home Sweetie Home" and Sundays after "Goin' Bulilit."
