MANILA - It's a boy for celebrity couple Toni Gonzaga and Paul Soriano. The two revealed the gender of their first baby in an interview on "Tonight with Boy Abunda" on Thursday.

"It's her wish," Soriano said as he pointed to Gonzaga, adding that his wife is due to give birth late September or early October. "It's going to be a mini Paul."

Gonzaga first confirmed her pregnancy back in April, despite it being reported as early as February. She said that she withheld making any announcements because she was waiting for her doctor's approval.

"It's getting more and more exciting kasi I'm closing in with my second trimester, so kaunti na lang. Nagbibilang na lang ako ng buwan," Gonzaga said of her experience as an expectant mother.

Gonzaga and Soriano tied the knot in June last year after eight years as a couple. The two celebrated their first anniversary in Hawaii with family. (LOOK: Toni, Alex go on family vacation in Hawaii)

"It was a good bonding experience. We really got to know each other and they got to know me, I guess even more," shared Soriano.
