MANILA -- World singing champion Jed Madela, in his first-ever digital concert “New Normal,” held last June 27, proved that an entertainer will never be limited by a physical stage. Facing the effects of the pandemic, the multi-awarded performer boldly broke new ground as he headlined what may be the first ticketed online concert in the country.

This concert was in collaboration among Madela’s MADd Creatives, his management company GM Proponents, PLDT Home, and ABS-CBN’s ticketing platform KTX.ph, which now provides producers, and artists opportunities to make entertainment more sustainable by offering gated, ticketed online events.

Earlier in the concert, Madela warmly welcomed his fans to “my first digital concert,” beaming with pride when he said it was entirely his brainchild. Madela conceptualized, produced, wrote, and directed this landmark concert overcoming all the limitations that the production had to face because of our current situation.

He boldly took on the challenge of developing his very first digital concert and embraced the opportunity to show the possibilities of performing for his audience virtually. From the show’s countdown until the concert’s last frame, “New Normal” is full of energy – the same power one experiences during live performances. Madela performed with so much gusto and his desire to give a good show was so palpable.

“New Normal” exhibited not just Madela’s explosive vocal prowess, and versatility, but also his amazing gift to connect with his audience barring the virtual divide.

The connection made by Madela to his virtual audience was evident in the engaged interaction in the KTX.ph chatbox during the show, where audiences from all over the globe expressed their appreciation for the singer and his talent. The concert’s stream was made available for 24 hours for ticket buyers from different timezones.
