Four feature films have been chosen as the official entries to the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) 2018.
The announcement was made this Friday, revealing that Vice Ganda's "Fantastica: The Princess, The Prince, and The Perya" made the cut based on script submissions.
The Star Cinema and Viva Films collaboration also stars Maris Racal, Loisa Andalio, and Maymay Entrata.
It will be directed by Barry Gonzalez, whose previous works include "Fangirl Fanboy."
The other entries are: Coco Martin and Vic Sotto's action comedy "Popo En Jack: The Puliscredibles"; Anne Curtis' solo effort with director Yam Laranas, "Aurora"; and "Girl in the Orange Dress," a Quantum Films production starring Kim Chiu, Jessy Mendiola, Jericho Rosales, and Sam Milby.
The other four, to be picked from the finished film submissions, will be announced at a later date by the MMFF committee.
Similarly, short film entries have yet to be determined.
