MANILA – Janella Salvador came up with a long Instagram post on Thursday that had some of her followers wondering if things are okay between her and Elmo Magalona.

On her Instagram story, Salvador said she can no longer tolerate “getting all the backlash because of someone’s wrong choice of words for the benefit" of a movie.

It wasn’t initially clear whether she was referring to Magalona’s latest film “Walwal,” but then she defended herself for being absent at the movie’s premiere night on Tuesday.

“I was not ‘busy’ during the premiere night. I informed Elmo in advance that I would prefer to watch the movie in private and he agreed,” she said.

“He understood so that may be the reason why he did not invite me anymore. He probably just doesn’t know how to word things properly sometimes under pressure. Lesson learned, I hope,” she added.

While saying she is aware that not everyone will listen to her, Salvador said she at least deserves to speak up about the matter.

Appearing to address their supporters, Salvador closed her lengthy post with an apology.

“Again, I’m sorry. I’m sure you all know that I would always choose to defend Elmo (even he knows that) but I guess I have no one to do the same for me but myself,” she said.

Nonetheless, Salvador said she still wishes Magalona’s the movie all the best.

Prior to Salvador’s lengthy post on Instagram, several fans noticed that she also deactivated her Twitter account.

As of writing, no word has been heard from Magalona yet.
