MANILA -- Did Unique Salonga just sign a solo record deal?
It sure looks like it after Kean Cipriano posted on Tuesday a photo of him with the former IV of Spades vocalist and Viva Entertainment head Vic del Rosario which he captioned: "O/C Records."
O/C Records appears to be a new label under the Viva Entertainment umbrella. Cipriano, who also happens to be the ex-manager of IV of Spades, first mentioned the brand in a post thanking Salonga for his "trust" in his team last June 14.
The picture he used was later reposted by Salonga, who teased his fans by writing: "Signed and sealed."
The news on Tuesday comes more than a month of rumors about Salonga's future as an artist following his exit from IV of Spades.
He acknowledged that many were disappointed with his move, but remained stubborn in not revealing his reasons. The young singer was last seen performing at Cipriano's birthday last June 11.
Known for hits like "Mundo" and "Ilaw sa Daan," IV of Spades will go on as a trio, according to the remaining members. The group was voted New Artist of the Year of the MYX Music Awards 2018.
