MANILA -- Actress Ai-Ai delas Alas took to social media to remind her fans to be respectful of others' beliefs.

In a post on Instagram, Delas Alas expressed her views on religion.

"Good morning..Everyone must be concious and respectful when talking about other people’s religion ...insulting someone else religion is insulting something meaningful to them...," she wrote, unedited.

She also said it is okay to not agree with others' beliefs, but it is not proper to be disrespectful.

"You don't have to agree with other people’s religion and their beliefs but you don't need to disrespect them.. all religion, beliefs and culture deserves the same amount of respect even if they are different from your own. God bless," Delas Alas added.

It is not clear whether Delas Alas is referring to anyone in particular.

The issue of respecting different religions and beliefs came up following President Rodrigo Duterte's latest attack on the Catholic Church.
